Rapid Prototyping

Prototyping is a process choice, not a single technology. Whether a part should be machined, printed, cast or formed depends on what the prototype has to prove: form, fit, function, material behaviour or manufacturability. We review the requirement first and then recommend the cheapest route that answers the question.

FAQ

Perguntas frequentes

Which prototyping process should I choose?

If the part must carry load or hold a thread, machine it. If it is an appearance or form check, print it. If you need 30 identical copies for a trade show, vacuum cast them. Tell us what the prototype must prove and we will pick the process.

How many rounds of prototypes do I need?

Most projects run two or three: an alpha for form and fit, a beta in production material for function, and a pre-production sample that validates tooling and finish.

Can you hold my design confidential?

Yes, we sign mutual NDAs and keep tooling and drawings segregated. We never publish customer work without written permission.
