Laser Marking

Laser marking writes permanent information onto a part surface without ink or tooling. It is used for part numbers, serials, barcodes, UKCA and CE marks and logos, and it survives solvents, abrasion and anodizing, which makes it the standard way to keep traceability on the part itself.

FAQ

Perguntas frequentes

Will the mark survive anodizing?

Laser marking before anodizing produces a permanent contrast that cannot be rubbed off, while marking after anodizing removes the anodic layer locally. We recommend pre-anodizing marking for parts that must stay legible.

Can you verify every mark?

Yes, we can integrate a vision system that reads the barcode or data matrix and rejects parts that fail to scan, which is important for traceable production.

Can plastic parts be marked?

Most thermoplastics mark well with a fibre laser, producing a light or dark contrast. For very light or transparent plastics we use an additive or a different marking technology.
