We collect personal data that you voluntarily submit, including: your name, business email, phone number, company name, country, and the contents of your message when you fill in a contact or quote-request form. We also collect technical data automatically when you browse the site: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring URL, and approximate country. We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic; analytics is only loaded after you grant consent through the cookie banner (where required by local law).
3. Why we use your data (legal basis)
We process your data on the following legal bases under the EU GDPR: (a) pre-contractual steps at your request, such as replying to a quote request or an RFQ — Article 6(1)(b); (b) our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving this website — Article 6(1)(f); (c) your consent, where we use non-essential cookies or marketing communications — Article 6(1)(a); (d) legal obligations such as invoicing and export records — Article 6(1)(c).
4. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: (a) IT service providers who host or deliver this site, including Cloudflare (CDN, edge analytics) and our email service; (b) analytics providers, only after you have accepted the analytics cookie; (c) regulators, courts, or law enforcement when required by applicable law. We require all processors to handle your data under written data-processing agreements.
5. International data transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including China, the United States, and the European Economic Area. Where required (for example, transfers from the EEA to a third country), we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect your data.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep contact-form submissions for up to 24 months so we can follow up on enquiries and maintain a business record. Analytics data is kept for 14 months (Google Analytics default). Tax-relevant records such as invoices are kept for at least 7 years as required by Chinese accounting law.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: (a) request access to your personal data; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data; (d) object to or restrict our processing; (e) request portability of your data in a machine-readable format; (f) withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing; (g) lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EEA, the UK, or your country of residence. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Data request". We respond within 30 days.
8. Children
This website is intended for business professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Security
We use TLS encryption across this site, restrict access to personal data to staff who need it to respond to your enquiry, and review our security practices periodically. No method of transmission over the internet is, however, 100% secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on our homepage for at least 30 days.
