SLA 3D Printing

SLA cures liquid resin with a laser layer by layer, producing the smoothest surface of any additive process. It is the standard choice for appearance models, fine-detail visual prototypes and master patterns for vacuum casting, where surface quality and small feature definition matter more than mechanical strength.

FAQ

Questions fréquentes

How does SLA compare with SLS?

SLA wins on surface finish and fine detail; SLS wins on mechanical toughness and doesn't need support structures. Appearance parts usually go to SLA and functional brackets to SLS or MJF.

Can SLA parts be used for functional testing?

They can be handled and assembled, and tough resins survive light snap fits, but UV exposure degrades them over time. For load-bearing use we recommend printing in MJF nylon or machining the part.

Do you support large models?

Yes. Parts beyond the single build volume are printed in sections with alignment features and bonded, then sanded and painted so the joint disappears.
