3D Printing Materials

Additive materials behave differently depending on the process: the same PA12 printed by MJF and by SLS has different surface finish and property consistency. This page lists what we run and which process suits each material and application.

FAQ

Preguntas frecuentes

Which material is best for functional parts?

MJF PA12 is the default for functional nylon parts because properties are consistent across the build. Choose glass-filled PA12 when you need extra stiffness, and TPU when you need flex.

Can printed parts be painted?

Yes. We sand, prime and paint printed parts, and for cosmetic models we often use SLA resin as the substrate because the surface is smoother than nylon.

Are printed parts suitable for outdoor use?

PA12 has good UV resistance compared to most plastics but does degrade over years of direct sun. For long-term outdoor parts we recommend protective paint or a UV-stable material.
