Powder Coating

Powder coating sprays electrostatically charged powder onto a grounded part and cures it in an oven, forming a tough continuous film. It is more durable than wet paint and produces no solvent emissions, which is why it dominates sheet metal enclosures, frames and furniture.

FAQ

よくあるご質問

Powder coat or wet paint?

Powder is tougher, thicker and more chip resistant, so it suits frames, enclosures and anything handled roughly. Wet paint gives better thin-film finish and colour matching for cosmetic parts.

Can powder coat cover weld imperfections?

It hides very little. Weld spatter and grinding marks telegraph through, so weld dressing before coating is essential for visible surfaces.

Will powder coat survive outdoors?

Yes. With a UV-stable powder it withstands several years of exterior exposure, though colour shift can occur over long periods in strong sun.
