Cookie Policy

What cookies we set, what they do, and how to control them.

Language notice (简体中文): 中文版正在准备中。英文版为正式版本。

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your actions and preferences (such as language) over a period of time, so you do not have to re-enter them each time you visit. Local storage and similar technologies (such as pixels or SDKs) are treated the same way for the purposes of this policy.

2. Cookies we use

We split cookies into three categories: (a) Strictly necessary cookies, which the site needs to function (language preference, security tokens). These are set without your consent because the site cannot work without them. (b) Analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics 4 after you accept the cookie banner. They give us aggregated, anonymous traffic statistics. (c) Marketing cookies, which we do not currently set; if we add any, we will ask for your consent first.

3. Specific cookies

Strictly necessary: a session token that keeps your language switcher consistent, and Cloudflare's security cookie (__cf_bm) that distinguishes humans from bots. Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_<container-id>) for 14 months. We do not use Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, or any other third-party advertising cookies at this time.

4. How long cookies stay on your device

Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies have a defined lifetime listed in the table shown in the cookie banner: 14 months for analytics, up to 30 minutes for the Cloudflare bot-management cookie, and 1 year for the language preference cookie.

5. How to manage cookies

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by opening the cookie banner (the "Cookie settings" link in the footer) and toggling categories off. You can also block cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the site. To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Third-party processors

Cloudflare Inc. (CDN, security) and Google LLC (Analytics, only after consent) process cookie data on our behalf. For details, see Cloudflare's cookie policy and Google's privacy policy.

7. Updates

We will update this page if our cookie use changes. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
