Glass is cheaper and absorbs impact better, which suits most panels, marine parts and enclosures. Carbon gives higher stiffness per weight and is the choice where mass matters, such as motorsport and aerospace.
A core separates two skins so bending stiffness rises sharply with very little weight. It is the standard way to build a stiff, light floor, deck or bonnet panel.
Vinyl ester resists water absorption and osmosis better than polyester, and epoxy performs best of all. Below the waterline we default to vinyl ester or epoxy.
Metals and engineering plastics for CNC machining: aluminium, stainless, steel, titanium, brass, copper and high-performance polymers with grade guidance.
Resins for injection moulding: ABS, PP, PC, PA, POM, PBT, PEEK and glass-filled grades with shrink, temperature and application guidance.
Materials for industrial 3D printing: PA12, PA11, glass-filled nylon, TPU, engineering resins and high-temperature polymers compared by process.
Sheet materials for fabrication: cold rolled and galvanised steel, stainless 304/316, aluminium 5052/6061 and copper, with thickness and finish guidance.
Aluminium 6061-T6 for CNC machining and fabrication: good strength, excellent corrosion resistance and weldability, the default alloy for most parts.
