Welding Services

Welding turns cut and formed parts into a single structural assembly. We match the process to the material and the cosmetic requirement: TIG for clean stainless and visible joints, MIG for thicker steel frames, spot and projection welding for sheet assemblies, and laser welding where heat distortion must stay minimal.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you stop thin sheet from distorting?

By welding in fixtures, using the lowest heat input that achieves penetration, balancing the weld sequence around the part and where necessary clamping against a chill bar to draw heat away.

Can you certify welds?

We can provide weld procedure specifications and welder qualification records, plus visual, dye penetrant and pressure testing. Third-party NDT can be arranged on request.

Do you weld assemblies with inserts already fitted?

Yes, although we generally weld first and install PEM hardware afterwards to avoid heat damage to the fasteners. The sequence is stated in the process plan.
