T1 is the first article from a new tool, used to identify tool corrections. T2 follows those corrections and is normally the sample used for customer approval and pilot builds.
Yes. Where a customer requires full production-intent samples we cut the production tool first and sample from it, which lengthens the schedule but removes the risk of the pilot-to-production gap.
